Rick Dykstra opens creative art centre

The Niagara Creative Arts Centre has opened its doors officially to kids who want to study music, dance and fine art.

The Conservative candidate for St. Catharines riding Rick Dykstra was at the official opening. Rick Dykstra commended the initiative to set up the centre particularly when the area is beginning the construction of a centre for performing arts.

He said the government had dedicated tax credits to kids that play sports adding that the Conservative government, if re elected will afford the same tax credit to kids engaged in music art and dance.

Edita Morkunas said she was a product of such school in Europe where the facility will allow kids to try all things under one roof.

Bart Skala (9) who has been playing classical music for 4 years rendered some tunes on the piano to the delight of the audience.
